The 2011 racing season is just about to begin, and we at Afterhours Racing would like to thank all that have supported us the last nine years..... There have been many changes, but one thing will never change. We are commitment to you. We will be stepping up our program again this year, to include a points series in addition to our more "fun" oriented drag racing events.

2010 was a great year, while other Motorcycle Drag Racing Associations were falling and experiencing hard times, we continued to grow. This culminated on August 14-15 at Auto Club Speedway, Fontana. The First ever North v. South Shootout was held. On that weekend in August, we had 91 motorcycles show up to race. Riders drove from Sacramento, Las Vegas, even Salt lake City. It was the biggest motorcycle dragracing event this area has seen in over a decade. While some might be impressed by the number of bikes, the thing I was most proud of was we had 6 first time racers. You cannot build the sport without new blood.

So what do we have in store for 2011....? We are taking it up a notch. Once again, with the help of Lucas Oil, our friends at Bronze Star Racing, Wayne and Linda Merchant we will be givng you more. We will have more racing, We will show you more bike nights, we will be showing you more of what Southern Cali is all about.

For the first time in 5 years, we will include some cars in the program. The goal is to get some of those fast street cars off the backstreets and industrial parks and onto a real racetrack. Another first for 2011 will be the addition of a "grudge lane" which will have the timing lights turned.

2011 will also be the first time we will have a novice/rookie class. The idea is to give the new racer on a modified streetbike a place to have fun, learn some skills and maybe even win some races. without having to face the veterans, on their dragbikes. This will be run as a trophy class.

So, to sum it all up. 2011 is going to be bigger and better than last year. Come out and have some fun. The days of sitting home, or watching are over. There are no excuses, we are making it too easy, too cheap and too simple for you not to try it.
